What is Hong Kong culture? What is unique about Hong Kong? How would you describe this place? Mix of Eastern and Western Style, food paradise, neon lights in the city……answers we have known since primary school. And now been living for over 20 years, I still couldn’t describe more. That was confusing and frustrating, which led me decided to find out what Hong Kong means to me.
Without any purpose, or any stereotypes of Hong Kong. I started this project by rambling on the streets, going to different districts of Hong Kong. I walked, took pictures, talked to people, recorded my feelings on paper, and finally categorized them in 2 ways and created this work.
Here I am presenting to you: what is Hong Kong in my eyes.
